Recently Bill Bennet posted on CCAvassal Yahoo Group! some news about a new version (v3) of famous C&CAncients module to play online using VassalEngine.
Here you can find a list of changes (quoted directly from the author's original message):
1. Graphical dice display. This is actually a piece that begins on the sideboard above the victory tracks. It shows the results whenever dice are rolled, via the usual buttons on the control panel. It is a game piece, and can be selected and moved by a shift+click. So if you'd like to put the display elsewhere on the board, it can be done. This is a major change to the way the dice are implemented in the module, so this renders the dice buttons from saved games in the previous version unusable. It is also set to clear the display with the same button that clears the combat markers between turns.
2. The "Stand" marker layer that was added to the target marker for units was previously not available in the old scenario pre-sets in the base game and the first expansion. With the new set-ups, this will be universally available. This layer had also previously been accidentally left off the leader generated target marker, and this has been fixed.
3. The original army title markers that were redundant (Roman, Carthaginian and Syracusan) have been removed in favor of the blank versions, to clean up the Marker window a bit. This will not be a noticeable change, unless you do your own scenario pre-sets.
4. The random scenario generator button has been removed from the base module. It did not make sense to have to upload a new version of the base module every time an expansion added more scenarios. It will be reimplemented as a stand alone extension file, which will make updating and downloading easier.
Extension files fully compatible with version 3.0 of the C&C Ancient module are also available. In order to simplify downloading, I assembled them all into a single archive file, titled "CCAv3_ExtensionPack.zip". Unzip the file into an extension folder named for the v3.0 module, as appropriate to your system. You should find four extension files contained in the archive file: Expansion1.mdx, Expansion2.mdx, Expansion3.mdx, RandomScenario.mdx, and ScenarioX.mdx.
You can download it here: CCAncients_V3 and also Extensions.

Thank you Bill for your great work! Commands & Colors: Ancients online game experience is even better with your new Vassal module!!!
