The 'theme' as such is Ulm to Waterloo, and the number of scenarios will depend upon the numbers, but generally it will include all the current official major nations.

As a rough guide, the current scenario selection is looking like this

The Final will be the new variant of Waterloo with Hougoment and La Haye Sainte as Walled Farms

Because of the different time zones around world, the players should be a little flexible, to schedule/play their games.
But in the preliminary round not more than 5 games are played, so not more than 1-2 games against a complete different time zone opponent must be played in the preliminaries and that shoud be possible within a time span of 5-6 weeks

As i started gaming on Vassal, i had the same problem and therefore i wouldn´t play first on Vassal, now i play more than 10 years on Vassal, and this circumstance was never a problem

I have 8 players signed up for MT9.
