Historical Background

With the possibility of ending the war right here and now, or at least having the Commonwealth sue for peace, the Confederation High Council has sent another task force in support of our efforts in this sector. This new force, along with what remains of the units from our last engagement, has redeployed and now waits for the Commonwealth counter-offensive.
Given this breathing space, the Commonwealth has also brought in a new task force of their own from a neighbouring sector.
The battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history?

Battle Notes

Victory

21 victory points, or the elimination of 8 opposition units.

Special Rules

• Task force cards are used in this scenario. The Commonwealth player takes an even-numbered task force card of his choice and the Confederation player takes an odd-numbered task force card of his choice.
• Support vessels are not purchased in this scenario. Instead both faction players will deploy the ships remaining from Scenario 29’s battle: full strength units and units with 2 or more ships remaining are deployed at full strength. Other units are not deployed. The Commonwealth player could possibly have two flagship units; in this case mark one as the flagship and the other as a Vice Admiral’s unit. If a player does not have enough ships to deploy a unit, the unit is not deployed.
• Clearing a sector objective rules are in effect for both factions.
• Breakthrough objective rules are in effect for both factions.
