Up to 3 units are ordered to conduct ranged
combat twice. No movement, only fire. Ordered
units may not be in an adjacent hex to an enemy
unit. Each ranged combat is resolved separately.
After the first shot, if firing unit is forced to retire
by the enemy’s battle back, the unit’s second
ranged combat is lost.

This Command card can get complicated when played in association with some Combat cards like Warp Speed or Full Impulse.

My view is that to gain the benefit of the card, all the conditions must be met, there is no choosing one set over another. So for example, if you order 3 units here, but move some of those units using a Combat card, then the double ranged combat is lost.
