197 Second Battle of Mortain

The First Battalion of the 117th Infantry Division has been assign to set up at the crossroads of St Barthelmy, just north of Mortain. As dark began to fall, an element of the 823rd Tank Destroyer Battalion arrived to shore up their defenses. After some delay, elements of the 2nd Panzerdivision and the first SS Panzerdivision arrived to continue on to Avranches. Locals had been saying that the Germans were up to something in the Northeast, but as the morning fog came, no one is sure where the noises are coming from.
The First SS Panzerdivision were supposed to come through after the 2nd Panzerdivision, but the 2nd slowed down in the heavy fog and the SS Panzerdivision arrived first.

Division One is SS Panzerdivision Kampfgruppe and Division Two is Second Panzerdivision Kampfgruppe.

Special Rules	Remove from weather deck, all thunderstorm, extreme heat, and heavy rain cards. Start with heavy fog and roll for visibility. Once you pull a card other than fog, discard all fog cards. If you pull one fog card after another, re-roll visibility roll. Weather checks are made on turns one through four. Discontinue weather checks when first clear skies card is drawn. Half hedgerow tiles are considered to be full hedgerow tiles. If you don't have DOTF, use something else for the M1 Gun.
