It was a day of Zandalas glory.
The battle began with a provacateur maneuvre by Huns on their left flank. Byzantines responded with a full-on assault, which in turn annoyed the Great Warlord Attilla himself. He swiftly eliminated a unit of Byzantine Heavy Cavalry commanded by Zandalas, however in effect was lured into a trap - a swift counter maneuver conducted by Byzantine Heavy Infantry cut off his retreat and in effect the great warlord was cut to pieces together with his HBC honor guard in an act of Zandalas vengeance. In effect the Byzantines, despite recklessly losing a unit of Heavy Cavalry to Attila, pushed forward and gained ground on their right flank. Finally a spearhead of Byzantine units on the right flank, led again by Zandalas Heavy Infantry, risked exposure but successfully charged head on into the remnants of withdrawn Hun heavy units, surrounding the rest of the Hun army. Despite ferocious defense and a set ambush, Byzantine charge caused heavy losses on the Hun side. The final blow was struck again by the brave Zandalas and his Heavy Infantry Unit.
This was a great, fun game full of twists and gamble moves. Many thanks to toganalper! Best wishes to all tournament players!
