Dennewitz 6 September 1813
Sansmerci French 7 banners
Chris Allies 3 banners

After several turns of moves both sides had units in position to battle the allies also had set up a grand battery in the center. A French Cavalry charge got the first two banners for the French. Chris counter attacked and taking out a leader and a HC. After getting just three hits on 15 melee dice at 50% chance to hit and losing a LN to BB and counter attack I'm thinking the vassel dice are at it again. Morand with a LN killed a Prussian HA making it 4 to 3 French. A timely reform tactics card rebuild two LT blocks enabling them to kill a single block Prussian LN then a Prussian Lancer was lost to melee. Could have been a lot closer with a lot of beat up French in the center. Thanks to Chris for a fun two games. Helped me with IT issues too!!!

sansmerci (Allies): 6
christhibault(French): 7

A couple of problems with Vassal is making so I don't have a full logfile to load. The battle started in the center and the French moved up on the left flank, provoking a devastating counter by the Prussians. The French were ready to retreat from the field when the Cavalry charge sounded... three times in a row... ending with the capture of Theuman and the Prussians surrender.

It was a fantastic match and Steve (sansmerci) is a great player.

Game 1
Gonzo Prussian 7 banners-Proyce French 2 banners
An early French Cav Charge was foiled by 2 Prussian tactics. Return Cav charge killed or drove off French Cav on Prussian right. A grand maneuver established a poss 4 unit Prussian grand battery. The French center inf moved to engage but was chewed up by Prussian Cav and Art.
Game 2
Gonzo French 7 banners- Proyce Prussian 4 banners
French Cav charge worked better this game. Traded pieces until the French Right came into contact with the MI on the Prussian left.
Thanks to Tony. Always enjoy playing you buddy.

EZPickins vs Soul1st
Game 2
French (Soul1st) 7 banners
Prussian (EZPickins) 5 banners

Battle took place all across the line throughout the battle. Heavy casualties on both sides with the Prussians losing three artillery units. Last chance charge by the Prussian infantry failed and the French took advantage and picked of the exposed units. A fun close game in the end.

Mark McG vs Bangla
Game 2
Prussians (Mark McG) 7 banners
French (Bangla) 3 banners

Despite my plans to ease up through the centre, the cards wouldn't help, so all the action happened on the flanks.
Prussians got off an early cavalry charge on the right as I moved my cavalry up position to fake a cavalry charge, and then pulled the card!! Prussians took out 2 artillery and the light cavalry for loss of their heavy cavalry and lancers (3:2)

A long interlude ensued where positions were jockeyed, but the horse artillery on the right wing did good work, and eventually the French pulled back here. A French cavalry push on the Left was held with the loss of artillery. Prussians got into Golsdorf, were pushed out, and managed to get back in, with a Prussian square bouncing back the French cavalry several times. The final Prussian push was on the Left, where they outflanked a French light infantry and put it away.

Game 1
French (plainscape) 7 banners
Prussians (Greg O) 4 banners

Prussians pushed on the left with a cav force, but were repulsed, and they let off a bayonet charge in the center which was repulsed and the battle culminated in the center with a French win.

Game 2
French (Greg O) 7 banners
Prussians (plainscape) 5 banners

French formed a solid line in the left and center section and the battle went back and forth with the French gaining the victory

Soul1st vs EZPickins
Game 1
French (EZ) 7 banners
Prussians (Soul1st) 1 banner

French lone HC carried the day. It eliminated or shared a roll in taking out 5 units on the Prussian right. Advancing west of the hills on this flank with some good rolling and good cards both on the attack and in defence. Not a lot could be done against this combination but he made a valiant effort. A worthy opponent for sure.

Mark McG vs Bangla
Game 1
French (Mark McG) 7 banners
Prussians (Bangla) 4 banners

bad scenario to be a cavalryman..
French lost 3 cav units and a leader
Prussans lost 4 cav units, 1 horse artillery and 2 infantry
Lot of skirmishing on the flanks, particularly the French Left flank. Centre never really came to blows, though the Prussian grand battery dominated.
After an abortive French attack on the Right, the French cavalry did wonders on the left, and at one stage had the team up 6-1. Desperate Prussian efforts had the Prussian infantry deal with the French cavalry, and the French Line went forward with Elan to take the match.
Dice ran hot with CAV and XSX symbols.

Round 2
(415 Dennewitz)

Game 1
French (toganalper): 3 Banners (23 blocks)
Prussian (mantra): 7 Banners (21 blocks)

From what I remember this battle saw a lot of feinting across the board on both sides. The Prussians slowly positioning their cavalry to the for front. The French took the lead at the start with an early leader kill. A bit of push and shove in the middle at the halfway point. Lots of cavalry in the end with the Prussians playing a few Cavalry charge cards. The Prussian Lancers came through in the end for the win.

Game 2
French (mantra): 7 Banners (19 blocks)
Prussian (toganalper): 4 Banners (32 blocks)

The French pushed their right flank with their LC for some success at the start. The Prussians tried on the opposite flank, but were slowly ground down. The Prussians switched tactics and pushed heavily up the middle which saw blocks fall on both sides. The French tried to finish the Prussians off, but were losing more units then blocks gained, so opted for the easy finial banner by running their LC of the Prussian base line for the win....why shed blood, and the chance of losing more units, when maneuver works just as well. Fun games both. Thanks Togan.
