Round 4
201 CZARNOWO (23 DECEMBER 1806)
Michalxo (Russian) 7 - 18 lost
Greg O (French) 5 - 26 lost
Commentary
After the initial French deployment of artillery, figuring out they got really short supplied, losing an artillery on left flank, the main action took place on the opposite, right flank. Aggressive Grand maneuvers and rally got French troops really into action and Russians had a serious problems. Once, even losing 1-6. All hope seem to be lost and capitulation was near. When young Cuirassier leader with an Elan managed to motivate the rests of the troops and turn the wind on Russian side. In 1 turn, Russians managed to even the score to 5-5. Actually retaking the Czarnowo again with higher hopes and winning 6-5. French final attack was not fast enough and needed a stronger push to take down from the center hills Russian Light troops. All prepared French, just before delivering a final blow and crushing the Russians, they have lost their great leader, which surprisingly ended their attack and flee away. Czarnowo was saved.
Thank you Greg O for a very interesting game.
