MT13 Results

We finished our games, had some pretty jacked up log files and busy day so no time to try and stitch the 5 or 6 files together for a complete log.

I'll work to get the logs stitched and uploaded.

The battles were both hard fought. In the first game, the French were fortunate to get all four guard units lined up two spaces away from the Prussians on the right flank and unleased a bayonette charge to good effect. Lots of tough fighting on the left as well, with the French Grand Maneuvering up, including two artillery units right next to the Prussians and both sides took some good losses. French had two first strike plays in that game as well.

Game two was more of a grind 'em out match, with the Prussians playing conservative for the most part, trying and succeeding in holding the majority of the town hexes for the 2 banners, and trying to kill as many French as we lost.

I posted, but can't see what I posted and too late in the evening, too long a day to type it all out again.

Had issues with the logs. I think I stitched the game 2 log together from 4 logs after having disconnection issues. Game 1 we realized after completing the game that we made a serious error allowing French to advance artillery following close assault into a town space. We restarted from that point and redid the end of the game. Turned out better for the Prussians. Unfortunately we didn't log the redo, so the game 1 log file shows the previous, wrong end.

Result was Game 1 Greg O (French) 9 and Scipio (Allies) 5; Game 2 Greg O (Allies) 8 and Scipio (French) 9.
