Historical Background
Our fleet has arrived at the outskirts of the frontier near the planet Seginus. We have attempted to contact the planet's military governor, but before we could open communications stating that we come in peace, an enemy fleet arrived in the sector. We have just been attacked and believe the attack actually came from the planet's space platform not the enemy. Orders have been sent to all officers and we are preparing for battle.
The battle lines are drawn and you are in command. The rest is history?
Battle Notes
Victory
21 victory points, or the elimination of 8 opposition.
Special Rules
• Only one task force card is used in this scenario. Draw one task force card at random and both faction players will have the same units as listed on that task force card.
• Support vessels are purchased in this scenario. Both faction players purchase 40 points of support vessels.
• Planet control objective rules are in effect for both factions. One victory point is gained for each unit that occupies a planet hex at the start of the player's turn.
• The planet Seginus is hostile to both factions. To represent this fact, when a player is ordering units, the space platform can be ordered on a player's turn, as if the space platform was one of the player's own units. This means both players can order the space platform to combat. In addition, when one faction is attacking the space platform, the other faction can use,the space platform to respond and possibly battle back, first strike, etc.
• The space platform will not gain victory points.
