What about setting up a customized rank system inside this forum (with WW2 themed pictures and description)?

Here you can find actual rank list:

Being a veteran of the U.S. Navy, I would propose using Navy ranks: Seaman Recruit; Seaman Apprentice; Seaman; Petty Officer Third Class; etc.

I think this is a good idea. With "Banned" members being designated as "Dishonorably Discharged."

I do think that both "Spammer" and "Blocked" can be ignored (they will never be visible).

U.S. Army WWII insignia is fine, but it does seem to be the default for things like this.

For something different, my first thought was to go with the Soviets or Germans, but both of these factions used epaulette-based rank insignia that I've long found it difficult to interpret and remember.

Another option besides the U.S. Army would be the British Army, which was broadly similar but not quite the same: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Army_other_ranks_rank_insignia

James, don't forget I can create a "special rank" for some user and then define a "common rank system" with all other users.
So if you have a sort of preference, plese let me know and I'll create a special rank for you!
I.E. I think I'm going to create a "special german rank" for Pino!
