Comprehensive British win 7-1. The opening fusillade against the lead British regulars, despite Militia Bonus and Light Infantry Bonus cards being played, scored one hit, and enough retreats to push the British back and rally into a solid line. The infantry made way for the artillery which blasted the Militia off the board when it failed its rally.
The British had a useful but small hand of Centre movement cards plus consecutive draws of At the Quick Step, the French hand clogged up with Line Command and Line Volley which they could not use with the Indians, whilst the French Marines hid behind the forest to avoid attracting attention from the enemy artillery. The Indians did manage to cause quite a few casualties, reducing the light artillery to one block and eventually reducing and routing a unit of British Regulars.
However, the At the Quick Step cards enabled the British to bring the heavy guns up with the Provincials and the Indians were blasted off the board by artillery and musketry. A couple of assaults finished them off, breaking the survivors as they tried to evade away.
The cards fell the way of the British this time. The French were unable to mount concerted attacks.
