After stunning victories on Christmas Day 1776 at Trenton, and another on Jan 2nd at Assunpink Creek, Washington slips away from Cornwallis and strikes north with 5800 men to attack the British garrison at Princeton. But miles from his goal, a British column leaves the college town to reinforce Cornwallis and spots the rebels. Though outnumbered, the aggressive British commander, Lt Col Charles Mawhood, countermarches to the attack and a classic meeting engagement begins. Initially rebuffed, the rebels retreat, but Washington rallys his men and personally leads the counterattack, getting within 40 yards of the enemy to the horror of his staff…

Washington adds two dice to attached unit in his hex, and adds 1 die to units in adjacent hexes at turn start.

2 dice to what? Rally, battle?

- generally this would easier (i.e. less record keeping) if it was judged at the point of application. e.g. if a Militia routed 3 hexes to Washington, and then got 2 extra rally dice. A unit moves 1 hex adjacent to Washington and battles with 1 extra die.

Mark yes that is one way of doing it. The way i chose i think is better for the historical side of things where Washington's presence inspired the men forward to the attack. So if units start next to him, they'll benefit from his presence nearby as they move to attack or fire (and they don't have to stay next to him).
