Something that was pointed out to me recently was that the Leaders card in VASSAL and the website wasn't identical to the physical copy in the game.
Been fixed now on the website, and VASSAL will be fixed, but in the meantime, remember that you also get an Inspired Action token with the Leaders card

The correct card

Round 5
018 Solachon (586 AD) Main Battle
Viridovilas (Sassanid) 5 banners - 34 blocks lost
Mark McG (Byzantines) 6 banners - 24 blocks lost

All the action too place on the Byzantine Right, the camp side.
The initial strength of the Byzantines on this flank drew a series of Sassanid reinforcements from the Centre, whilst the other flanks contented themselves with an exchange of arrows.

The final turns descended into high farce as neither side could gain hits in a series of clashes of 1 strength Medium cavalry (with a leader each)! Almost like a personal challenge combat!

Interesting scenario, but dominated by cavalry action.

Hello everybody,
you should find soon the updated module, version 1.2.1, with the correct "Leaders" card, in the usual place:

www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Commands_%26_Colors:_Medieval

In general VASSAL files are updated in 24h but maybe it will take a bit more during the weekend.

This module is identical to the previous version 1.2 apart for the new card. No sav files need to be updated. VASSAL will automatically use the new card image.

This is a fast fix I put together after Alessandro told me about the issue. The new image of the leader card has slightly different colors. I hope to be able to fix the aesthetic for the next release of the module, version 1.3, which will also contain new exciting features :-)

Round 3: 016 Lazic War (550 AD) River Hippis

EZPickins (Sassanid): 6 banners, 30 blocks lost
stormwalker (Byzantine): 7 banners, 28 blocks lost

Most of the clashes took place in the middle section. This battle had a lot of small twists and turns so it is worth a peak. The finish was very tense and the final result was very close.

Many thanks to John for playing!

Round 7
Scenario: 007 Satala (530 AD)
PCScipio42 (Sassanids): 0 Banners, Blocks lost: 24
Mark McG (Byzantines): 6 Banners, Blocks lost: 4

Probably the shortest game of C&C I have ever played. 4 Command cards long
I played Line Command to move Sittas force up on hill, hit the Sassan MBC down to 1
Forrest played Line Command to shoot and re position. Similarly wore a HBC down to 1
I played Mounted Charge, the MBC failed to hit the 1 strength MBC, but reduced a AUX. Two leader led SHBC then removed that AUX, another AUX, the SHBC, the MI and killed the leader.. 5 banners in a dicing of extreme proportions.
Last card was 2 in Centre, the HBC tried to whack the 1 strength HBC on a hill, missed, and the battle back drove him off map..

Round 5 (018 Solachon)

Greg O (Byz) 7 and 24 blocks lost
EZPickins (Sas) 6 and 27 blocks lost

This was a great battle. Byzantine was foolish and started with a push off the hills from the Medium Inf followed by a foot onslaught into the Sas. Cavalry line on the right. Not surprisingly the Sas. charged into the Infantry and eliminated all three. The fight continues on the right with a Byz. attack, and this went back and forth with the Byz side pulling even. The battle continued to be very close until the end when a lucky two dice bow shot at range 4 eliminated a 2 block Sas MBC unit for the 6th banner.

Rd 3 (River Hippis)

Greg O (Byz) 7 30 blocks lost
scipio1zama - aka Forrest Speck (Sas) 5 29 blocks lost

The Byzantines pushed to the right and the battle raged there, with a lone Sas LB and leader isolated on the hill alone. Then the Sas crossed the river on the left and the battle raged there with the Sas side pulling almost even and the battle was finished in the center.
