Historical Background
The Akkadian king Naram-Sin, making conquests, expanded his possessions in the north, south, east, and west. He subordinated to his power "countries that no king had conquered before him." This earned him the right to be compared to the great Sargon. He assumed the new title of "king of the four sides of the world." In the last years of Naram-Sin's reign, the Gutian tribes invaded Mesopotamia. These people lived in the Zagros Mountains area. Around 2200 BC, the supreme leader of the Gutians, Erridupizir, defeated Naram-Sin, managed to capture the city Nippur and took the royal title. During the war, the Gutians managed to take over almost all of Mesopotamia, it was under their rule for almost 100 years.
The scenario shows what the battle between the Gutians army and the Akkadian army might have looked like.
